The media player that is installed standard on Vista and Win 7 will not read .asf video files, which the camera writes. The media player on Windows XP and lower will read .asf files. You will need to install a media player that will read the video files. Go to www.download.com, select whichever system you are using, and search for VLC Media Player. VLC Media Player is a popular freeware media player that works very well. All you have to do is download the program and choose it to read your video files. There is no fee associated with the VLC Media Player download. If you are experiencing problems viewing videos on a Mac computer, choose Mac when searching for VLC Media Player, and follow the same download process. Choose VLC to view the videos.
