There are some possible reasons • You specified the wrong pathway for the endgame tablebases. • File is corrupted or in the wrong form , they should be in the form KXXKXX.nbw.emd or KXXKXX.nbb.emd [for compressed Nalimov] • One of the files either KXXKXX.nbw.emd or KXXKXX.nbb.emd is missing. You need both of them. • You are using the wrong type of endgame table bases. E.g. using Nalimov for Bionic .
