No. It is expected that you will see what appears to be hair growing 3 to 5 days after a treatment. This is what we call the grow out phase. The hairs that are coarse remain in the skin after treatment. A few days after your treatment these hairs begin to push out of the skin (much like a splinter that you cant reach). In a few more days these hairs will simply fall off leaving the treated area hair free for about 4 to 6 more weeks (depending on the number of treatments you have already had). As you progress with treatments, the hair becomes finer and is vaporized during treatment so you will not have a grow-out phase. Can I have a treatment if I am tan. No. When your skin is tan, there is more active melanin (the target for the laser). When you had your test spots, you were not tan. Therefore, we have set the laser to treat your untanned skin. To treat you with a tan makes you more likely to have negative side effects such as blistering and pigment changes. It does not matter what the
