Not any longer. On June 25, 2004 Senate Bill 2887 was passed. What was previously called the "Category B" provision was removed. Today a Bachelor or a Masters in the aforementioned areas will get you no special treatment. Everyone except for attorneys will have to sit for the required number of hours (see the previous question and if you are an attorney see the following question). As of January 1, 2010, a broker candidate must have 2 years (of the past 3 years) experience as a salesperson before being able to sit for the broker exam. Attorneys are exempt from the 2 year salesperson experience requirement.
