As far as engineering goes, professional engineers are often licensed and this is handled by the individual provinces: Ontario for example it’s the Society of Professional Engineers. In order to obtain the license, you require an engineering degree from a ‘Accredited’ University, and several years of engineering experience. If your university is recognized, then the only exam required is on law and ethics. If however your degree is not recognized, then you may have to write several technical exams.
