Yoga originates from Hindu beliefs, which is totally against that which followers of Jesus Christ should participate in. If you were to study the postures and positions of yoga practice, you would find that is a form of worship to the Hindu gods.  That is against Christian Biblical living. Yes the world, especially the American culture, has been fooled into believing that they are "just exercising" yet if that same person studied the origin of yoga, and their Bible, they would be shocked to learn they have been worshiping other gods and they didn’t even know it. Yoga means union from the Sanskrit root word yuj meaning to join or combine. In the West, it is often proclaimed as merely a health benefit or an exercise regimen.
