I have a large bibliography typed up in Word. Is it possible to import this into EndNote?

Unfortunately, there is no easy way of doing this. EndNote needs detailed instructions before it can recognise which part of your reference to put in which EndNote field. Chapter 7 of the EndNote manual has a section called ‘Creating a custom”tagged” format’ which explains how to edit your Word file to create a format EndNote can read but it is a lengthy process and only worth considering if you have a very large bibliography. Other options to consider are searching for your references in an online database such as Web of Science and importing them from there or it is possible to copy and paste data into EndNote as you would into any windows program. (You should find the EndNote manual in pdf format with your program files). Medical citations are an exception to this. If your records are likely to be in the PubMed database you can use HubMed to search for them and convert them to EndNote format. Use the HubMed citation finder tool to try to find your references.
