I have a separated garage and no doors or windows to enter the garage. How do I get inside if the power goes out?

This is a very serious concern, and there is a solution for it. It comes in the form of a key-operated switch or "rip cord" on the face of the door. You use a special key to pull the lock cylinder out, then pull out the cord, it is attached to the GDO release cord inside.
