I have been unable to get images to upload on my remote server. What is the problem?

Most likely it is a permission issue. By default, on a Linux server, any directory you create will not have upload permissions set. Most hosts have a control panel where you can log in and set permissions for individual directories. The Cartweaver documentation has more details.
