I have Dish Network and my local channels are in the channel 8000-9999 numbers. Why dont they appear in the Showstopper Channel guide?

The Panasonic ShowStopper Hard Disk Recorder cannot display the 8000-9999 channels in its channel guide. Instead, the Showstopper software “re-maps” the channels to the next available spots in its channel guide, which is usually in the range of 800-999. Find your local stations by the local station’s Call Letters (for example WXYZ, WABC, KTTY, etc), not by the channel number. Even though your Panasonic ShowStopper Hard Disk Recorder has reassigned your local channels, it will still access the correct channel from your satellite box. If you still cannot find your local channels, confirm that you have selected the local package for Dish Network or DirecTV. First, press the [MENU] button on the remote control.
