If you notice a loss of vacuum power, you may have a clog in your system, however, if your power unit is a VACUFLO True Cyclonic you may need to clean the Guard Screen that is installed in the power unit. This screen should be cleaned each time the dirt canister is emptied. (Click here for demo video.) If this is not maintained dirt, dust and debris can cause the screen to become clogged and cause low suction throughout the system. If your power unit is a Filtered Cyclonic, the problem could be that the pleated cartridge filter needs changed. The filter needs to be replaced once a year, to avoid build up of dust and debris. (Click here for demo video) If this does not restore the suction to the original level, you may have a clog or an air leak in the tube system.
