I have recently moved to Alberta. How do I exchange my out of province drivers licence for an Alberta drivers licence?
I f you have moved to Alberta you must surrender your out-of-province driver’s licence within 3 months. You will be asked to provide proof of Alberta residency, Canadian citizenship or immigration documents, acceptable identification and will be asked to take a vision test. Driver’s who are over age 75, or have a medical condition that may affect the safe operation of a vehicle, will be asked to provide a medical examination form.
