Please give us your best guess based on the prerequisite information listed in the language course descriptions. Applicants to non-novice courses in the Summer Language Institute are given the contact information of the appropriate language program coordinator upon acceptance so they may arrange for a preliminary placement interview prior to the start of the program. Students are typically given a more formal placement exam at the start of the program to confirm placement levels.
