Because Luzern’s foundation is in Spas, Medi-Spas and Dermatologists offices we have always been very cautious about the use of fragrances, alcohols and oils. Many of our clients start using our products after clinical treatments and cannot tolerate any irritating ingredients. The reason you have found these ingredients to be so common in pure products is that they often use oils and alcohols as an alternative to synthetic preservatives. They are very inexpensive to use and they are also effective but unfortunately not very esthetically pleasing, and often times irritating. Together with one of the worlds top skin care research labs Luzern has found a variety of effective, oil and alcohol free, alternative preservative which give our products a totally different feel to other non-synthetic skin care products.
