Yes. A Master licence is for the business only and allows you to carry on a business in Commercial Agent and/or Private Inquiry Agent activities. If you are self-employed (i.e. you do not employ staff) you must hold both a Master licence and the appropriate Operator licence. Upon application for an Individual Master Licence, you will be issued with an Operator licence at no extra cost. In the case of applicants for Individual Master Licences, who also employ staff, the application form has provisions for you to indicate if you are also intending to carry out any CAPI activities. If this is the case, you will also be issued with an Operator licence at no extra cost.
