I just saw this reddish-pink message in my System chat box that said something about blood and seals. Whats that about?
When you have fought for a certain amount of time with any piece of equipment, you will unlock a Bloodseal slot on it. Bloodseal slots allow you to use Bloodseal Gems on that equipment piece to give it a special added bonus stat. Bloodseal Gems may be bought from general merchant NPCs. In Randol City, that NPC is Merchant Geres. At low-levels ( < 25 ) you go through armor fairly quickly, so adding bloodseals to your equipment pieces is not necessary. However, in the mid- and high-levels, bloodseals and their bonuses become invaluable and equipment pieces with impressive seals sell for quite a bit. You may have up to 3 bloodseals on any armor piece and up to 5 bloodseals on any weapon. Once all your Bloodseal slots are filled, you can wipe the equipment clean (remove the bloodseals) and try again, if you like, by using a Purification Gem.
