Duromine is a brand form of Phentrimine. This is a weight loss drug that you can only get through prescription. It contains two compounds, an amphetamine and a phenylethylamine. You may be familiar with “meth,” an illegal drug that is an amphetamine. People on meth typically lose interest in food, which is why they become so thin. Duromine boasts that it helps suppress your appetite, and this is why. A phenylethylamine affects your mood. I was told by a woman who took Phentrimine that she became so depressed after being on it that she kept thinking about killing herself. It affects your mind that much. It can also cause hallucinations. With all these side effects, I am very surprised that doctors prescribe this at all. The downside of this drug (aside from all the side effects) is that you learn NOTHING. You learn nothing about exercise or portion control; you simply lose weight from those side effects.
