I know this is off topic, but Ive been considering slowly removing most of the crushed coral and replacing it with live sand(currently 2-3″ substrate). Would this be worth the trouble?

I have three Naso snails at the moment…would I benefit from increasing this and maybe adding a type of sand sifting fish. (along with routine gravel vacuuming during water changes of course) Thanks again for the quick reply and confidence in knowing I’m getting a reliable response to my questions.
