I notice that sometimes the messages that I send to the Daycare-L mailing list don show up, are delayed, or get forwarded by that “Derrick” guy. What happened?
Non-Subscribers: One reason that sometimes messages don’t make it to the list, is because members send messages to Daycare-L using another email address, other than the one that they used to subscribe to Daycare-L. If someone has more than one email address, they must use the one that they specified when they subscribed to the list. If they send a message to the list using a different email address (a different from-address) Daycare-L will believe that the message is from a non-member, and will ignore it. This also can happen if you use two email programs or computers and the email address set-up on one is slightly different (ie. “myname@mail.isp.com” instead of “myname@isp.com”) In this case, the address that was specified when subscribing to the list would be able to post messages to Daycare-L; the other one would not.
