The word "antique" is used rather loosely by the general public but is defined by the U.S. Customs Service as anything more than 100 years old. Perhaps "vintage" may be a better description for your 1960s furniture.

They are not considered 'antique'. Now, if they were crafted 100 years ago...they would be. Fine examples created in the 60's might be considered collectible, and have value.  more
