I plan on moving to another State, can I transfer into the Operating Engineer Local Union there?

Yes, the transfer requirements differ from local to local but you can transfer your membership. In order to transfer between locals your dues must be current at the time of your request for a transfer. The transfer card is then mailed to the address we have for you and you must present your transfer card to the local you are transferring into. You will remain on the membership roster of Local 501 until we receive Coupon #2 back from the local you are transferring into and your monthly dues will remain payable to Local 501 until your transfer is complete.
