The University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Diploma program would use the first passing grade. Credit will not be granted twice for the same course. You may not repeat a course you have previously passed. If you do so the repeated grade will be excluded from your GPA. To improve a pre-professional course mark, take a higher-level course in the subject area and the highest mark would be used in the pre-professional GPA calculation. I am registered in five half year university level courses during Fall Term and I do not plan on attending Winter Term of this academic year (September to April inclusive). Will the GPA for the five half year university level courses taken in Fall Term be calculated in my cumulative academic average when applying to the Dental Hygiene Diploma program?
