In order for a retired officer to carry a firearm concealed in Florida, you must have a picture ID from the agency where you retired. You must also show proof that you have completed that agency’s firearms qualification course within the last 12 months. Currently, no state agency in Florida is authorized to issue the card showing compliance with the course of fire for active Florida officers.
