I see a lot of people in my neighborhood with recycling bins alongside their trash for pick up. Has Carroll County had a long-standing recycling program?
Yes. Since July of 1992, the Carroll County government has licensed private waste haulers to manage curbside pick-up of trash and recyclables. A variety of haulers provide pick-up once a week for each of the eight municipalities. Information on Carroll County’s contracted trash services can be found on the county website.
