Maybe. It would likely depend upon whether the hotel was on notice of an infestation or dangerous condition. Your pain and suffering wouldn't be the only thing you could recover. You could also ask for all medicals--being hospitalized for 11 days is expensive! And, it doesn't matter if it was paid for by your health insurance. I'm sure you could find someone in South Caroline to represent you on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) OR because you both live in different states (depending upon the monetary amount at issue) you could sue in federal court. ... more
