I would like to hold a sporting event in Kings Park & Botanic Garden. Do I need to book or pay a fee?
Answer. Yes, you are required to book and to pay a fee. Sporting events of any size require careful planning in consultation with the Authority, and so we ask that you contact us as early as possible in your planning process. In most cases, you will be asked to provide a map of the areas or routes that you intend to use and you may be required to attend a site meeting. If your event requires roadblocks, then you may be required to submit a traffic management plan that has been approved by the Authority and by the WA Police Department. No sporting events such as marathons are permitted on the pathways through the bushland.
