I would like to purchase an electronic edge finder but did not see one in the sherline catalogue and all the ones in the McMasters catalogue are too large. What are your recommendations?
I’m not sure what an electronic edge finder is. You could set up one edge to work off the emergency stop (pin 10). When pin 10 voltage goes to 0 (grounded via Normally open momentary switch to pin18,19,20,21,22,23,24 or 25), all motion stops if that option is turned on in preferences. I will be implementing code to find “home” using pins 11,12,and 13 later this year. That may work better for you.
