In general, TechLEAP and WebLEAP assume that enrolled students have some general computer proficiency but no formal computer training. Aptitude for achievement in the computer sciences is assessed through the DAT aptitude tests. For those admitted to and registering for the full TechLEAP or WebLEAP program schedule, no prerequisite training is required. The program begins with a general introduction to computers and computer architecture, and builds skill levels from this starting point.
