The course structure, material and expectations of a graduate course are quite different from those in an undergraduate course, and in general, substitution of a graduate course for a fourth year elective course is not allowed. In exceptional cases, with the permission of the graduate course instructor, a student whose CGPA is above 10.0 may be allowed to take a single 0.5 credit graduate course in place of a fourth year elective. This will not apply in an overload situation. To apply for permission, email the Associate Chair and ask the graduate course instructor to email permission to the Associate Chair.
