The CARS credit is independent from manufacturer buying incentives. For example, if a car dealer is offering $3,000 off the list price of a car and you qualified for a $4,500 CARS credit from your trade-in, then the total reduction off the MSRP would be $7,500. Q: I have a car that qualifies for the cash for clunkers rebate but I still owe money on the title. Will this still work with the rebate?
