No. The speed slows down to USB1.0/1.1 speed because it goes through the slow USB hub even though the slow USB hub is connected to a USB2.0 port on the computer. The USB hub (multiport as some call it) and the USB computer port must BOTH be USB2.0 speed capable for the device to be connected by this way.
