If you have a Thuraya satellite phone SIM/number, the subscription and call charges will be paid in your local currency. If you have a prepaid satellite phone SIM, however, then there will be a one-time subscription and activation fee. To keep using it, all you need to do is buy scratch satellite phone cards to top up your balance.
