Milder cases of influenza-like illness (ILI) are no longer being lab-tested for the H1N1 flu virus. As instructed by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, testing for H1N1 flu virus has been prioritized for pregnant women, people with high-risk conditions, and those who have been hospitalized with severe influenza-like illness.
