If most Republicans are Catholic/Christian, what are Democrats?
Well, let’s examine this national election process. Neither party has enough strength to elect a candidate without the help of “CROSS-OVER” votes. And it seems as though the Democrats cannot attract sufficient CROSS-OVER votes to win a national election. Even the Clinton victories were with less than 50 per cent majority vote. So I would say that there are considerable Democrats who are good, moral, patriotic, religious people, and they vote for GOP candidates.
You are obviously Republican, even before your paranthetical comment, or else you wouldn’t say such things. But my answer is that Democrats are not “isolating” Christians, and there are many Christians who have reason for voting Democrat which have to do with “showing compassion for the poor.” And there are many Christians who do not oppose abortion, but who believe that the government should not regulate. They simply don’t have the same priorities as you do. I’m ex-Republican. Now I’m no longer a voter.
