If my Allworx server is on the LAN behind a third party firewall, can I access the admin interface from a remote location to make programming changes?

Yes. There are two options: • Configure port forwarding within the third party firewall. This exposes the admin interface of the Allworx server to the Internet so access using a browser is permitted. Strengthen your admin password to prevent unauthorized access. • Configure PPTP pass through on the third party firewall. This is not supported by all firewall vendors so you ultimately may need to use the above option instead.
