Obviously, one would not be able to read any pure calculation items. Often, contexts in problems are written with numerals rather than the words for the numbers. For an item like “Juan has 3 trucks and gives 2 of them to his brother” can be read with short pauses to point at the “3” and the “2” – these numbers should not be read aloud.
