If the ECHO eligibility/registration requirements were not met during the provisional 90-day timeframe, will claims paid for ECHO benefits provided during the provisional period be recouped?
The provisional status will terminate upon completion of the registration process or at the end of the 90-day provisional period, whichever occurs first. In accordance with TRICARE Policy Manual, Chapter 9, Section 3.1, government liability for ECHO benefits will terminate at the end of the 90-day provisional period, but the government will not recoup claims paid for ECHO benefits provided during the provisional period.
