If the PR applicant was approved but was then to pass away for whatever reason would the PR dependents still retain their PR status and under what conditions?

Kindly note that if the PR main applicant passes away, his/her dependants would still be able to remain Maltese Permanent Residents. However, one of the dependants should take his place as a main applicant and this person would be required to satisfy the PR conditions on an annual basis.
