The amount of data stored on the handheld is really only limited by the amount of memory on the device. The latest BlackBerrys have 64 megabytes of RAM, for example. From a practical perspective, the size of the local data store is limited by the processing speed on the device. In our experience, 2 megabytes of data is the outer boundary for current devices.
