If there are cats on alien spaceships, what kinds of kitty litter boxes do they have?
Just as cop shows don’t bore us showing hours and hours of cops doing paperwork, Star Trek did not show Scotty using the ship’s sensors and transporter for housekeeping. It was a paramilitary ship so efficiency was important. That’s the trouble with Tribbles you know, their poo gets everywhere and is very small. Colony ships have enough room for gardens. The cats are encouraged to use the dirt there where special additives in the soil quickly break it down into nutrients for food plants. Pirate spaceships take a different approach. The cats make their way to the designated area, where their scat is loaded into paper tubes by “the new guy” and stored in the cold outside. As the ship swoops down on its victim planet like Vikings visiting Ireland, it’s amazing how much damage is done by several pounds of frozen cat poo traveling at 100,000 miles per hour. F=MA; force= mass times acceleration. This is why only Earth has tax offices. They don’t survive long on The Fringe.
