If you are an NP/RNFA, for surgical procedures, would you bill under RNFA and not NP? Is there a different reimbursement rate? I noticed that the AORN Position statement indicates they are doing so as an APRN and not as an RNFA. How to bill?

I am pretty sure that you can use either NP or RNFA and the reimbursement is the same for either. Medicare Billing calculated ((MPFS x 0.16)-(deductible and coinsurance)) x 1.15
