The game is likely on an Over-The-Air affiliate in the local area of the team. This is one of those situations where teams with very, very large MLB territories can negatively affect those that are in their MLB market, but far outside their TV market. For example, I live in Ames, Iowa (just north of Des Moines, Iowa) and am considered in-market for the Minnesota Twins. On opening day, the Twins played the Angels at the Metrodome, and the game was on a local Minneapolis MyNetworkTV affiliate. Since I live many hundreds of miles away from Minneapolis, there’s no way I could’ve gotten this game with an antenna. I was blacked out of the game on ESPN, and I was blacked out of the Angels’ FSN West feed on Extra Innings. However, I was very lucky to find that DirecTV carried the OTA broadcast of the game on channel 660 (RSN Alt). However, most people aren’t as lucky as I am, and these games will just be essentially “lost”. Again, this is not DirecTV’s fault — it is the fault of the MLB teams
