Im buying a horse, could it go shoeless?

My horse has been shoeless for 4 years now and walks happily on all sorts of surfaces including concrete, tarmac, stones, gravel etc. As long as you do it properly and make sure that you condition their feet for what you’re doing then there shouldn’t be a problem. Actually sand school, gravel and tarmac can be very good for shoeless feet. The feet tend to grow according to the wear so you’ll probably find that the feet grow faster the more work you do anyway. Have a look at the EPA forum: http://aepauk.proboards.com/index.cgi and the EPAUK website where you can get a good trimmer from: http://www.epauk.org/ and an EPAUK trimmer’s site: http://www.bodrwyn.org/ Anyone who tells you that your horse can’t work shoeless on the roads or on hard ground doesn’t know what they’re talking about. There are shoeless horses in all
