You can request an extension of your license by writing: Bureau of Records 2900 Apalachee Parkway, MS 92 Tallahassee, FL 32399-0575 Requests also can be processed by calling (850) 617-2000. You will receive an extension card that will keep your Class E license valid until 90 days after your discharge from military service. Please keep the card with your license and present it with your military ID. The card is free of charge and available to all active duty members of the armed forces and their dependents (spouses, children, and step-children under 21 living in the same household). The extension card is only available to military personnel who are stationed outside Florida and have a license that expired after July 1, 1995. If your license expired prior to July 1, 1995, you may request renewal forms to be mailed to you.
