Direct marketing can be described as selling or obtaining leads by means of a specific communication to a targeted prospective buyer or inquirer. The collective techniques are also known as direct response advertising, i.e., advertising through any medium designed to generate a measurable response by direct mail, telephone, television, and radio with an emphasis on generating a response that can be measured.
