Ask the fisherman to show you his valid 2008 commercial fishing permit. This will validate the permit’s Permit ID number as well. If you can’t see the commercial permit, there is also a fishermen look-up table on our website at: http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dmf/dealers/fishermen_current.htm#lookup . This list includes vessel name, Perimit ID number and permit type.
