ImageCraft Products FAQ-O-Matic : ICCAVR V6 – and – ICC7 for AVR : What are the differences between V6 and V7 of AVR?
First of all, all new bug fixes and enhancements will only be performed on the latest V7 release. For the current V7.00x release of ICCV7 for AVR, the compiler has some bug fixes that may or may not affect you. The IDE has some usability improvements. As time progresses, the delta will of course increase. You can see the list of changes by reading the “readme” file (available on the DEMO download page) for V7. V7 also contains some new support technologies: the licensing engine has been changed to a more robust scheme, plus that it allows us to release fully functional 45 day demo PLUS have the demo to change to code size limited after 45 days. V7 also lays the foundation for the upcoming PRO release with the MIO global optimizer. Of course if you need a specific version of V6 to continue development and maintenance of existing code, we can provide you a copy of just about any V6 revisions since V6.19 upon request. richard@imagecraft.
