In Bahrain, how many months are probationary period for office worker?
By LAW, probationary period should not be less than 3 months. Within these three months, the employee can resign with a notice period of one working day, also the employer can discharge the employee, giving him one day notice as well. After the 3 months, when an employee is permanent, he needs one month notice period and also the employer. Many companies do not give some of its benefits to the employees while on probation. Also, the probation period can be extended if mentioned in the contract. So be careful! As for family visas, once the visa of an expatriate is canceled, his/her family visas are automatically canceled.
