In bowling, whats the term for 4 strikes on a row?
I have no idea what 4 strikes on a row is called but I have an idea what 4 strikes in a row is called. (Sorry!) I agree with some other contributors that “Four Bagger” is an often used term, although I have been to bowling alleys where the electronic display shows “Turkey” for four in a row as well as for three in a row. Can’t be right! Previously in the game, two strikes in a row is a “Double” and one strike is simply a “Strike”. Thereafter, I have seen displays for “Five Bagger”, followed by “Six Pack”, followed by so many in a row e.g. “Seven in a Row” until the twelfth when you should get the message of “Perfect Game”. Failure to knock down all pins leads to a ‘second attempt’ at pins remaining standing. If you knock down the remaining pins, this is called a “Spare”. As the proud possessor of 881 “Perfect Games”, I have seen all of the messages many times … sorry, wait … that should be 882, as I forgot to record a game from yesterday. Confession: this is only on computer! My hi
