A. Physicians who have completed surgical residencies approved by the American Board Of Medical Specialties and completed a rigorous oral and written examination as well as demonstrating proficiency in surgical skills and judgment are certified by the American Board Of Facial Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Newman is certified by this board and is a Clinical Instructor of surgery at Stanford University. Dr. Newman feels that achieving board certification is the minimum requirement and that prospective patients should look beyond this for experience and reputation. Dr. Newman has helped hundreds of patients with his surgical expertise and care as a physician. To learn more about Dr. Newman, please visit the About Our Surgeon page.  more
